Hi! I'm Carol Herbert, the human behind Sleepy Frog Designs.

In the early 1990s, I began building websites as a sub-contractor for several national companies. However, I became disillusioned with the industry standard at the time, which charged customers extortionate fees while paying programmers peanuts. This prompted me to strike out on my own in 1996 and create Sleepy Frog Designs.

My goal then, as it is now, was to offer individuals and small businesses a website service that doesn't rely on jargon or technical language to obscure the truth. I'm always on the lookout for people who distract you with one hand while adding another zero to your bill with the other.

I chose to remain small, preferring to have control of each project from beginning to end. Besides, what would I do with a yacht? However, this has also allowed me to develop strong relationships with my customers. They know and trust my advice, which is always given in plain English. If I think a third-party service would offer them a better deal or better suit their needs, I'll recommend it, even if it means losing the business.
